About I Ate Ohio
Sources, method and who we are.
Who publishes this
I Ate Ohio is published by North Coast AI LLC. It covers Ohio food trails run by official tourism bureaus, with their stops, passports and rules quoted from the bureaus' own pages. Alcohol trails are left out. We aren't affiliated with any bureau or shop and take no payment from them.
Method
Our checker re-fetches every bureau page and confirms each quote still appears word for word (ignoring only spacing, letter case, quote-mark style and PDF ligatures), and it matches every stop row in the long lists against its page: each candy stop's block of text, each ice cream stop printed above its town, each Seneca town's group of stops. The site won't build if anything is missing. Shop pages on the Donut Trail use the bureau's own listing for each shop. Where we quote hours, they are the bureaus' stated hours, not independently verified schedules; the bureaus themselves say shop hours vary and shops sell out, and we pass that on in their words. We don't link Facebook or Instagram pages. Sections labeled "Our take" are our summaries of the quotes on the same page; counts are ours and labeled. Pages were researched and built with AI assistance.
